Numbers for IELTS Listening

The IELTS listening test ALWAYS has a few questions that involve listening to numbers. If you get the numbers wrong, you may have just dropped a half band or even a whole band. If you get them right, there are a few easy marks that will help to boost your score.

Numbers are also important for general communication. When you listen to the news, you’ll hear lots of numbers (about finance, economics, disasters, attendance and so on). So make sure that you practise listening.
